Abstract

The National Assembly's questioning activities play an important role in controlling power and protecting the rights of the people. Questioning is not only a tool for National Assembly deputies to request explanations from state agencies but also a channel to convey voters' aspirations, contributing to improving the accountability of the public administration. In recent years, the questioning activities of the Vietnamese National Assembly have undergone many innovations, promoting the supreme supervisory function of the National Assembly, but there are still some limitations that need to be overcome. This article aims to analyze the current status of the National Assembly's questioning activities, focusing on the 15th National Assembly (2021 - 2026 term), and assess the limitations and causes. From that, people who are in charge can propose some solutions to improve the effectiveness of questioning activities in the current period.
