Main Article Content
Abstract
The article studies the tragic character in the short stories Troi, the latest work of Nguyen Ngoc Tu. The work illustrates an ambiguous sense of reality reflection belonging to the deeper layer of human psychology, called the drifting sense. This dominates the world with different and complex characters in these short stories. The main character archetype in these short stories has many unique features and distinctively reflects the author’s intention. Through the utilization of logical structural systems, statistical methods, analytical–synthetic, and interdisciplinary approaches, this article highlights the archetype of tragic character through multiple perspectives: family relationships, life orientation, climate change and trend–following behavior.
