Abstract
Applying the concept and method of assessing the level of socio-economic development of small territories, the research team proposed 16 criteria to evaluate the level of socio-economic development at the district levels. These creteria were also applied to assess the level of socio-economic development of Nga Son district, Thanh Hoa province.
As a result, by 2021, Nga Son district will reach 146.8/230 points, which means it will obtain nearly two-thirds of the district's goal by 2030. The authors have proposed a number of solutions for Nga Son to achieve. socio-economic development goals set for 2030, especially focusing on criteria No. 1, 3, 5, 7, 8 and 14.
