Abstract

Today, the proportion of traditional family models is tended to decrease, which means that the children and grandchildren prefer an independent life, so they do not live with their parents, grandparents, the elderly also live independently. However, when the elderly's health declines, the need for health care increases, the financial needs of the elderly need to be ensured. Below are the results of factor analysis affecting the rate of receiving support in cash or in kind from children to elderly parents in Vietnam by gender.
