FACTORS AFFECTING THE SUCCESS OF FEMALE ENTREPRENEURS: STUDY TYPICAL CASES IN THANH HOA CITY

Abstract

This study aims to provide insight into the success factors of female entrepreneurs in Thanh Hoa City. Therefore, it focuses on the importance of five variables namely financial capital, human capital, social capital, innovation and work-life balance in contributing towards success of female entrepreneurs in Thanh Hoa city. To meet the objectives of this research, the author conducted a survey of 400 female entrepreneurs in the area and obtained 369 surveys that met the requirementsfor inclusion in the analysis. Resource-based view theory and Conflict Theory are used as a foundation to identify the key factors that affect the success of women entrepreneurs. The research results show that all five independent variables included in the research model (financial capital, human capital, social capital, innovation and work-life balance) have a positive relationship with the success of female entrepreneurs. From the research results, the author proposes implications to promote women's success in business.
