Abstract

Tho ethnic group is one of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam, belonging to the Viet - Muong languages, and Austroasiatic languages, with a population of more than 90 thousand people, mainly residing in Nghe An and Thanh Hoa provinces. In Thanh Hoa, Tho ethnic group has nearly 12 thousand people, mainly in Nhu Xuan and Nhu Thanh districts including Mon, Lam La, and Nhu Xuan local groups. Although there are many different origins, languages,
cultural traits, and ideologies towards their existence, the ideology of the Tho community is highly unified. It preserves many traditional cultural values, enhancing the artistic beauty of ethnic minorities in Thanh Hoa province.
