Abstract

In Vietnamese minority literature, the epics “De dat de nuoc” and “Am et” are some of the primary epics. Putting the two epics in comparison, we see that they have many similarities and differences, especially in the use of mythological motifs. The article focuses on an in-depth research on the similarities and differences in mythological motifs in the epic The “De dat de nuoc” and “Am et” epics, thereby seeing the Thai Muong cultural exchange in the cultural picture of the Vietnamese ethnic minorities.
