Abstract

The experiment was conducted on the cucumber variety HD089 during the spring- summer crop of 2022 in Thanh Hoa. The fertilizer base comprised 3 tons of manure, 150 kg of N, and 90 kg of P2O5 per hectare, combined with Tien Nong micronutrient potassium fertilizer. There were four experimental treatments: Treatment 1 served as a control without Tien Nong micronutrient potassium fertilizer, while the remaining three treatments were upplemented with Tien Nong micronutrient potassium fertilizer at rates of 100, 150, and 200 kg/ha, respectively. The results showed that supplementing with Tien Nong micronutrient potassium fertilizer positively influenced the growth and development indicators of the variety, as well as yield, thereby increasing fertilizer use efficiency. The highest values for these criteria were achieved when supplementing with 200 kg of Tien Nong micronutrient potassium fertilizer per hectare. This treatment had a total growth time of 71 days, with the height and number of leaves reaching their peaks at 128.3 cm and 19.1 leaves, respectively. Additionally, the variety showed reduced susceptibility to pests and diseases such as greenworms, aphids, downy mildew, and powdery mildew, resulting in minimal damage. The actual yield was 24.1 tons/ha, and the Value Cost Ratio was 3.2 times, indicating high efficiency and suitability for the local crop structure.
