Abstract

The research was carried out in Spring 2022 to study the effect of different application doses of biochar on the growth and development of maize variety NK7328. The experiment included five treatments, with four treatments consisting of varying biochar doses (2,3,4, and 5 tons/ha, respectively) and one control treatment (10 tons of manure). Results showed that applying biochar at rates of 3 or 4 tons/ha yielded similar results to fertilizing with 10 tons/ha of manure. However, the treatment with 5 tons/ha of biochar resulted in the highest maize growth and yield. Maize yield reached 7.41 tons/ha in the treatment with 5 tons/ha of biochar, which was significantly higher than the control (6.82 tons/ha), representing an increase of 7,91%
