Abstract

In Thach Thanh district, Thanh Hoa province, on the field land, the area of 2 rice crops with the winter crop accounts for a low rate; The district has a large area of sugarcane, but most of the sugarcane cultivated area is currently cultivated in only sugarcane so the sugarcane land is degraded, the productivity of sugarcane is decreasing.
Appropriate cropping systems have been identified on rice fields and sugarcane hills in Thach Thanh district: Appropriate crop system on rice fields: Spring rice (Gia Loci 02) - Summer rice (Hong Duc 9) - Winter soybean (DT26), brought about a profit of 44.9 million VND/ha/year; the marginal profit of 57.3%; The marginal profit margin ratio (MBCR) is from 2.0 to 4.7.
Planting intercropped peanuts and soybeans with sugarcane: on the field, sugarcane yield reached 96.90 tons/ha higher than mere sugarcane (85.80 tons/ha); on the hillside, the productivity o f intercropped sugarcane reached 73.85 tons/ha, higher than mere sugarcane (68.57 tons/ha); Sugar contents of sugarcane were not affected when intercropped with peanuts and soybeans.
On field land, intercropping soybeans with sugarcane gave higher income than mere sugarcane with 11.8 million VND/ha, MBCR index is 2.13; intercropping with sugarcane gave higher income than pure sugarcane with 36.9 million VND/ha, MBCR was 3.37. On the hilly land, intercropped sugarcane gave higher income than mere sugarcane with 26.9 million/ha, MBCR index reached 2.86.
