NGHIÊN CỨU MỘT SỐ CHỈ TIÊU CHẤT LƯỢNG TINH DỊCH CỦA THỎ NEWZEALAND NUÔI TẠI THANH HÓA

Abstract

The study was conducted on 12 Newzealand bucks in Thanh Hoa province to assess the quality o f semen to fertilize rabbits by artificial insemination method. The results showed that some traits of semen quality ofNewzealand bucks in Thanh Hoa province are different from the published results in Viet Nam, though not much. Semen volume was 0.54 (ml); sperm motility was 0.79; sperm concentration was 318.82 (10⁶/ml); total number of sperms moving straight ahead per each ejaculation was 123.96 (10⁶/ml) and pH of semen was 7.65. Season affected the semen quality of bucks, it’s high in spring and summer seasons while low in autumn and winter seasons.
