Abstract
Overcoming the shortcomings, limitations in the previous views on the nature of morality, Marxist - Leninism ethics has explained scientifically about the nature of morality in social life. As a form of social consciousness, morality arises from social existence and reflects social existence during certain periods of historical development. Ethics always carries the social nature with the basic characteristics: era-specific, ethnic and social class related. The viewpoint of Marxism - Leninism still has a profound practical value in the process of building new ethics in our countiy nowadays.
