Abstract

This study was carried out in 2019 to evaluate the effects o f AMS-1 super absorbent polymer on a ramie variety AP I in Thanh Hoa. The experiment included 5 treatments with different doses o f AMS-1 (0, 30, 50, 70 and 90 kg h a 1), in which the treatment with Okg AMS-1 was the control. Results showed that soil moisture content inceased with the increase o f the amount of AMS-1. Soil moisture content was the highest with the treatment o f 90kg hã1 AMS-1 (23.21% at 5 days after planting and 27.64%O at harvesting time). Aplication of AMS-1 increased the growth of rami plant.
Application of AMS-1 at the dose of 90kg ha1 gave the highest rami fresh yield o f 27.8 tons ha1. However, the value cost ratios o f all the treatments were relatively low (<2), indicated that economic efficiency o f using AMS-1 was low at the first harvesting.
