Abstract

Sustainable livelihood is an important issue that determines the survival and development of each individual and community. For ethnic minorities in the western border area of Thanh Hoa province, sustainable livelihoods are not only to escape poverty towards a prosperous life, standing firmly on four pillars: institutions, economics, environment and society but must also be associated with ensuring national security and defense. Because this is an important land, a “shield” for security and defense for the country.
