XU HƯỚNG BIẾN ĐỔI VĂN HÓA DÂN TỘC MƯỜNG Ở THANH HÓA TRONG GIAI ĐOẠN HIỆN NAY

Abstract

The Muong ethnic group is one of the ethnic minorities with a large population, a long cultural tradition and many similarities with the Kinh. Under the impact of the market economy and urbanization, the issue of preserving and promoting Muong cultural identities becomes a big challenge. In ThanhHoa, during the current period, the cultures of Muong have undergone dramatic changes. Major trends in the changes are those of preserving, inheriting and promoting the Muong cultural values in line with the new development conditions; of acculturation via domestic exchanges and international integration; of the decline in the cultural identities of Muong minorities, especially regarding their intangible culture. Such changes have been exerting profound impacts on the culture of the Muong, which is in turn creating a lively and complex picture of their cultural life at present.
