Abstract

Research on metritis and the number of factors affecting this disease of the dairy cows was carried out in 3 farms in Thanh Hoa province. The results showed that the average rate of disease is 19.20%, lower than that of some studies of other authors.
Some of the main factors influencing metritis are seasonal factors, with a higher incidence in summer than in other seasons of the year. The incidence rate is 24.15% in summer, while it is the lowest in autumn; 16.47%. The first parity and the litter 5 and above have a higher rate of infection than the other parities. Results of treatment of metritis in cows with very high efficiency reached from 85.75- 98.05%, in which the regimen using antibiotic Oxytetrecyline combined with anti-inflammatory and Lutalyze showed the best therapeutic effect.
