Abstract

The diversity of factors that form soil creats the abundant soil resources in Thanh Hoa province. Mostly, in the coastal area it is sandy soil, in the plain is silt soil, in the low mountain is ferralsol and in the high mountain is humus soil. Among the above - mentioned soils, ferralsol, and silt soil occupy the largest area. These soil types are very appropriate for agricultural development, especially for afforest, industrial plants, paddy rice, vegetables, and short term trees. In recent years, there have been many changes in activities of social-economic development that dramatically alter the land-use in Thanh Hoa province. This paper studies the characteristics of soil resources and the land-use changes in Thanh Hoa province from 2010 to 2019, thereby brings out the reasons and proposes reasonable orientation in land use in the upcoming.
