Abstract

This article studies characteristics o f the semantics o f the quantitative adjective group o f things in Vietnamese. Research results show that when using the quantitative adjective group o f things with the original meaning they have the meaning quantify o f things (quantify the size, the weight, the heat, and the distances) and express the number o f things. When developing semantics, this adjective group expresses personality, knowledge, psychological-emotional characteristics; the fate o f people; time and things, natural phenomena. In particular, the meaning expressing the psychological-emotional characteristics o f the human being is a quite remote and different in the predominant nature with a relatively large number.
