Abstract

Recently, magnetic thin films deposited on flexible substrates have attracted significant interest from the scientific community due to their ability to tune magnetic properties through stress/strain. This work presents experimental results on CoFeB/Pd multilayer ferromagnetic thin films with different thicknesses of 0.4 nm and 1.3 nm. Bending strain was generated using curved molds with varying diameters, combined with magneto-optical Kerr effect measurements to observe changes in magnetic properties. The normalized remanent magnetization and coercivity parameters of the multilayer films under different strain levels were analyzed in detail, revealing a pronounced dependence of magnetic properties on the strain applied to the flexible polyimide substrate.
