Abstract

This article addresses the current state of career counseling needs among students in several high schools in Thanh Hoa province. The results indicate that the majority of surveyed students have a necessary need for career counseling. The highest level of need is for counseling regarding the labor market, followed by the need for counseling on personal characteristics and psychological suitability for a particular profession. While the need for counseling on career counseling methods and the need for counseling on professions and their requirements are not as high as the above, they still reflect students' desire for information on both the content and form of career counseling as a basis for making informed career choices.
