Abstract

Nursery rhymes are one of the genres of folk literature that includes all forms of traditional singing by children of different ages. The content of nursery rhymes is often very close and familiar with children. Both lyrics and music, content and form of the rhyme are innocent,suitable forthe psychology and physiology of children. For children, nursery rhymes are very familiar and close. Children not only learn them at school but also through the lyrics and songs of their mothers and grandmothers, and through folk games. Nursery rhymes bring about great values, contributing to intellectual and aesthetic education for children, helping them become aware of the natural world, society, and the surrounding environment. Allowing children to learn and approach nursery rhymes also means bringing them back to the beauty of literature and folk games; returning to culture and national roots.
