Abstract

The development of soft skills is an essential requirement in the training of Early Childhood Education students, as the preschool teaching profession demands competencies in communication, collaboration, emotional regulation, creativity, and the ability to handle pedagogical situations. This article analyzes the potential for developing soft skills among Early Childhood Education students at Hong Duc University through the teaching of Music courses. With their strong emphasis on practice, performance, interaction, and the organization of group activities, Music courses provide a favorable environment for students to develop soft skills closely aligned with professional requirements. Based on this analysis, the article proposes several measures for integrating soft skill development into Music instruction, thereby contributing to the enhancement of preschool teacher education quality in accordance with a competency-based approach.
