Abstract
The robust development of information technology has been accompanied by a global increase in the frequency of smartphone use. However, alongside their benefits, smartphones also exert negative influences on daily life. Our study employs both qualitative and quantitative research methods with a survey sample of 280 lower secondary school students to analyze the current situation of using digital devices and the impact of this usage on the students' academic performance, health, and psychology. Based on the findings, we propose several solutions to better manage and guide students in using digital devices in a rational, healthy and effective manner.
