Abstract

Linh Ung is a recent and notable novel by Vietnamese writer Nguyen Manh Tuan, published by Dan Tri Publishing House in 2021. The work recounts the journey of an extreme atheist into the realm of spirituality. It is not merely a narrative of social reality or the moral scales of human conduct in the contexts of family and war, but also a reflection of spiritual values embedded in modern life. This article analyzes and interprets the manifestations of spiritual elements in Linh Ung. The findings aim not only to clarify the significance of these spiritual dimensions within the novel, but also to shed light on broader questions concerning human attitudes and behaviors in the postwar context.
