Abstract

Abstract: Developing ecotourism is a key strategy for achieving green growth, preserving natural values, and maintaining thecultural identities. It also plays a significant role in poverty reduction and provides new livelihood opportunities for local communities. Thanh Hoa province, with the diverse terrain including high mountains, midland, plains, and coastal areas, holds significant advantages for ecotourism development, particularly in protected forest areas, nature reserves, and national parks. In recent years, the provincial government and relevant stakeholders have initiated and implemented various programs to promote this potential form of tourism. While the province has made notable achievements, there are still some limitations in the development process. This article will provide an overview of the potential, current status, achievements, and solutions for advancing ecotourism in Thanh Hoa province.
