Abstract

This article analyzes the structure of Ngo Kha’s epic poem Allegory of an absent-minded on the basis of existential philosophy in conjunction with M. Bakhtin’s theory of the chronotope. It identifies two central structural patterns: the cyclical structure and the illogical structure, regarded as distinctive features of existential structuring in the poem. The cyclical structure reflects the recurrence of space-time, both destructive and generative, enabling the subject to create and to engage existentially. The illogical structure conveys a fragmented and discontinuous space, shaping a form dependent on the subject’s journey. From this perspective, Ngo Kha appears not only as a poet of political and social engagement but also as a poet of artistic engagement - through unique experiments and poetic innovation.
