Tóm tắt

This study investigates final year pre-service EFL teachers’ responses to the recent educational reform regarding the introduction of English as a second language in schools in Vietnam. A quantitative survey design was employed. Data were collected from 127 pre-service EFL teachers at Hong Duc University through a structured questionnaire. The findings show that the participants had a high level of awareness; however, their attitudes were somewhat mixed. Their professional readiness was only moderate. The open-ended responses further revealed that students were particularly concerned about the lack of practical teaching experience, unclear reform requirements, and the challenges of implementing English-rich classroom practices.
