Parametric design and simulation control system for automatic voltage stabilizer to stabilize voltage in low voltage grid
Main Article Content
Abstract
Voltage stabilizers have the function of stabilizing voltage within the allowable limit. The design and creation of a control system that helps the voltage stabilizer operate automatically will overcome the disadvantages of mechanically regulated voltage stabilizers. This paper presents the selection of detailed parameters and simulation of the combined PI and Feed-Forward control algorithm for automatic voltage stabilizers used in low-voltage power grids. This helps instruments to fully automatically adjust voltage without human intervention, which is achieved thanks to controllers integrated in the voltage stabilizer and the automation of a voltage regulation process. The design process is applied to the input grid voltage range ranging from 150V to 290V and to the output voltage range supplied to electrical equipment that is always between 210V and 230V, corresponding to a maximum deviation of 5% of the rated voltage value of the low-voltage grid (220V). This ensures that the electrical equipment operates well when the grid voltage fluctuates within a wide range. The implementation process is demonstrated by simulating on matlab/simulink software with a 10kVA voltage stabilizer capacity.
