SCIENTIFIC ARGUMENTS FOR VIETNAM TO ACHIEVE DOUBLE - DIGIT ECONOMIC GROWTH FROM 2026

Abstract
This study examines the feasibility of achieving double - digit economic growth in Vietnam from 2026, based on development economics theories and international experience. Using a qualitative descriptive - analytical approach, the study develops a theoretical framework grounded in models such as Solow, Lewis - Kuznets, Rostow, institutional theory, and innovation theory. The findings identify five key pillars: efficient capital accumulation, human capital development, structural transformation, strategic industrial orientation, and inclusive institutions. In addition, innovation and technology are emphasized as central drivers of modern economic growth. Based on an assessment of Vietnam’s performance during 2020 - 2024, the study concludes that Vietnam has strong potential for breakthrough if it implements synchronized institutional reforms, improves investment efficiency, and fosters an innovation - driven ecosystem.
