THE IMPACT OF GREEN LOGISTICS EFFICIENCY ON THE EXPORT QUALITY OF ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY GOODS

Abstract
This study examines the impact of green logistics efficiency on the export quality of environmentally friendly goods within an extended gravity model framework. Using a balanced panel dataset of 174 countries over the period 2007 - 2022 and employing the system Generalized Method of Moments (system GMM) estimator, the results indicate that green logistics efficiency in both exporting and importing countries significantly enhances export quality, with a substantially stronger effect from the exporting country. The effect from the importing country is conditional and more pronounced in high-income markets, consistent with the screening role of environmental standards. These findings provide empirical evidence on the role of green logistics as a mechanism for upgrading the quality of green trade, while also highlighting differences in transmission channels between the supply and demand sides.
