Nghiên cứu này phân tích khả năng đạt mục tiêu tăng trưởng kinh tế hai con số của Việt Nam từ năm 2026 dựa trên tổng hợp lý thuyết kinh tế phát triển và kinh nghiệm quốc tế. Sử dụng phương pháp định tính mô tả - phân tích, nghiên cứu xây dựng khung lý thuyết từ các mô hình như Solow, Lewis - Kuznets, Rostow, thể chế và đổi mới sáng tạo. Kết quả chỉ ra năm trụ cột then chốt gồm: tích lũy vốn hiệu quả, vốn con người, chuyển dịch cơ cấu, định hướng ngành chiến lược và thể chế bao trùm. Đồng thời, đổi mới sáng tạo và công nghệ được xác định là động lực trung tâm của tăng trưởng hiện đại. Trên cơ sở đánh giá giai đoạn 2020 - 2024, nghiên cứu khẳng định Việt Nam có tiềm năng bứt phá nếu thực hiện đồng bộ cải cách thể chế, nâng cao hiệu quả đầu tư và phát triển hệ sinh thái đổi mới sáng tạo.
